BAO MOXIE CANVASSES MUSLIM GROUPS, HAUSA, NUPE, EBERA COMMUNITIES FOR OYEBANJI AHEAD EKITI GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION

Leaders of a political arm representing Muslim organizations in Ekiti State,BAO MOXIE on Tuesday met with leaders of different Islamic organizations and Hausa, Ebera and Nupe Communities to reiterate the numerous strides of the Oyebanji administration since his assumption of office.

Leaders of BAO MOXIE took turn to highlight the various policies and programs of governor Biodun Oyebanji which has impacted positively on the lives of the people including Muslims.
They noted that the governor in fulfilment of his pre- election promises before 2022 appointed the highest number of Muslims appointees, an act described as unprecedented.

The Senior Special Adviser to the governor on Tertiary Education, Professor Akeem Azeez described governor Biodun Oyebanji as a man of grace who is admired nationwide , hence the need for everyone at the home front to double their efforts at galvanizing more support for him ahead of the June 20 governorship election.
Professor Akeem Azeez described him as a rare gem with rare heart of gold, kindness and brilliance whose achievements across diverse facets are glaring for all to see.

While commending  individuals who represented  various Muslim groups across the State for the impressive turn-out, he assured that the outcome of the meeting will be conveyed to BAO ANCHOR group which is the main Pro- BAO group that encompasses hundreds of solidarity groups with a view to having it on record that Muslims in Ekiti State are fully gearing up to vote enmasse for the governor reele.
Dr Muftau Bello who is also a Muslim appointee in the government of governor Biodun Oyebanji said the governor was the the first to appoint Muslims in large number unlike in the past where only one or two Muslims were appointed into political offices.

Dr Bello noted that Islam and Muslims gave all appointees the privilege to serve in government, hence the determination of all Muslim appointees to return to their constituent with the news of all the numerous strides of the Oyebanji administration.
He urged Muslims to ensure massive votes for governor Biodun Oyebanji on June 20 in order to affirm relevance and prove their numerical strength with an assurance that the governor being a promise keeper will do better for Muslims in the next dispensation.

Dr Mojeed Akinwumi who delivered the message of BAO ANCHOR GROUP on behalf of the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Habeebat Adubiaro said the motive of the meeting was to re- affirm the steadfastness and loyalty of the Muslim community to the second term bid of governor Oyebanji.
 He noted that the BAO MOXIE as an arm of BAO ANCHOR GROUP is determined to begin massive enlightenment campaign across all communities, towns and local governments in the State on the voting pattern and the need for everyone to obtain their voter cards within the time frame set by INEC.
The SSG, thanked the Muslims both males and females, Yorubas  and other from other tribes who heeded the invitation of BAO MOXIE emphasizing that it was an indication that Muslims are genuinely determined to vote for the governor again in a bid to sustain the ongoing development in the State.

The Senior Special Adviser (Faith Based) Hajia Sherifat Ogunsakin sensitized those in attendance on how to vote with the index finger adding the APC logo remains the broom on the ballot paper.
While urging Muslim parents not to stay indoors during election, the governor's aide urged them to also invite their children and wards outside the State to come back home prior to the election in a bid to shoot up the number of votes that will be credited to Muslims on the day of election.

The forum which was the described as the beginning of such meetings with Muslim stakeholders across the State had in attendance other Muslim appointees in different capacities both males and females including those appointed from among the Ebera, Hausa and Nupe communities who conveyed the messages shared by the various speakers to their people in their indigenous languages.
The forum provided an opportunity for the electorate to share their thoughts with the Muslim appointees, calling on them to continue to be worthy ambassadors of Islam everywhere and everytime.
