Sheikh Kewulere, Muslim Pilgrims Rate Oyebanji High On Supports Towards 2025 Pilgrimage
Representatives of the Muslims who performed this year's holy pilgrimage to Makkah and Medinah in Saudi Arabia have held a special thanksgiving service at the Ado Ekiti Central Mosque.
The program held on Friday presided by the President League of Imams and Alfas,South West, Edo and Delta States who is also the Grand Imam of Ado Ekiti, Sheikh Jamiu Kewulere Bello took place prior to the Friday Jummat prayer.
During the special thanksgiving service, Sheikh Kewulere acknowledged the various supportive efforts of governor Biodun Oyebanji towards the Muslim community in Ekiti State which the cleric said increased during the preparatory stages for the 2025 holy pilgrimage.
The Imam who spoke glowingly about governor Oyebanji described him as one of a kind with rare compassion, commitment and diligence towards positive goals .
Sheikh Kewulere also thanked the Secretary to the State government, Professor Habibat Adubiaro for being a worthy ambassador of Islam in the administration of governor Oyebanji saying her proactive efforts at ensuring the demands and requests of the Muslim community are speedily attended to by the governor was worthy of commendation.
On the year 2025 HAJJ, Sheikh Jamiu Kewulere congratulated all the pilgrims led by a member of the Ado Ekiti Central Mosque, Alhaji Salmon Adedipe being the Chairman of Ekiti State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board on the successful and hitch free pilgrimage.
The cleric applauded the pilgrims for being worthy ambassadors of the State and Nigeria in general during their stay in the holy land.
Speaking at the occasion, the Secretary to the State government, Professor Habibat Adubiaro described governor Oyebanji as an unbiased leader who treats and prioritizes the well-being of Ekiti people equally without sentiments nor political undertone.
She urged Muslims in their numbers to get prepared to appreciate the unprecedented support from the present government through votes saying more goodies await Muslims courtesy of the BAO led administration.
The Chairman of the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board,Alhaji Salmon Adedipe who led other pilgrims on the thanksgiving service described this years hajj as impactful and soul lifting and smooth.
He noted that governor Oyebanji surpassed the supports from any previous governors in the State towards the Muslims especially before and during the pilgrimage.
Each of the pilgrims including other members of the Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board took turn to donate money to the coffers of the mosque in appreciation of the mercy, protection and favour of Allah before, during and after the holy pilgrimage while relatives, friends and well wishers joined them in the thanksgiving service which was described as the first of its kind.
