America Based Restoration For All Incorporated Attracts One Day Summit On Human Trafficking, Femicide and Gender-Based Violence To Ekiti State As Stakeholders Speak Out On Menace, Causes, Solutions

Stakeholders in Ekiti State have  converged in Ado-Ekiti for a day  summit highlighting the need to  combat human trafficking, femicide and gender-based violence in Ekiti State and Nigeria in general.
The event, tagged “Human Trafficking, Femicide & Gender-Based Violence Summit,” was themed “From Silence to Safety: Uniting Ekiti Against Human Trafficking, Femicide, and Gender-Based Violence.”
The summit held on Monday, August 17, 2026, lasted over 5 hours as several issues bordering on the menace of child trafficking, femicide and gender based violcen were spoken against by participants that included government representatives, law enforcement agents, legal practitioners, media professionals, health workers, clerics, educationists, counsellors and several others who assembled at the Adetiloye Hall located inside Trade Fair Complex in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital .
One after the other, stakeholders starting with the convener, the Commissioner for Women Affairs in Ekiti State, Mrs Peju Babafemi, representatives of different security agencies among others spoke glowingly about the  laudable initiative of the hosts of the summit.
The summit facilitated by Ekiti born Dr. Tolulope Monisola Ola who is the Founder and Executive Director of the America based non-profit organization known as Restoration For All Incorporated focuses on culturally responsive mental health, wellness, immigrant/refugee support, and community empowerment.
The summit was described as a right and necessary step towards curtailing the ugly trend which they said had eaten deep into the fabrics of the society with unimaginable damage, pains and negativity on the lives of victims , their families and the society at large.
Ekiti State and the Federal government were commended for setting machineries in place towards nipping the ungodly acts of femicide, gender based violence and child trafficking in the bud while calls were made for parents, guardians, teachers, religious institutions and the general public to be alive to their responsibility of showing more concern and getting involved in exposing those indulging in the menace.
According to the hosts, the summit was designed to promote collective action against violence and other forms of abuse, while strengthening mechanisms for the prevention of human trafficking, protection of survivors and building safer communities.
Discussants identified three key areas of focus for everyone including preventing the menace, protecting survivors and strengthening family ties and  community bonds.
The summit also provided a platform for stakeholders, community members and advocates to discuss challenges surrounding human trafficking, femicide and gender-based violence, as well as strategies for prevention, survivor protection and community mobilisation.
The event was hosted by Restoration for All, Inc., Village Wellness International and proudly supported by partners like Lions International, Ado Heritage and AFGE, among other who were all given awards by the organizers in appreciation of their support towards the success of the summit.
The organisers provided registration opportunities for wide range of interested participants as part of efforts to move Ekiti from a culture of silence to one of safety, protection and collective responsibility.
Participants in the summit also had the privilege to enjoy free Health check and body massage from foreign based experts.

NAPAIS EKITI EMBARKS ON INAUGURATION OF ZONAL EXECUTIVES AS STATE CHAIRMAN HIGHLIGHTS SUCCESSES WITHIN FOUR YEARS

Executive of National Association of Proprietors of Arabic and Islamic Schools ( NAPAIS) in Ekiti State has inaugurated the Central Zone of the association being one of the four zones billed to be inaugurated in the State. The newly inaugurated zonal executive was Ekiti North following the inauguration of Ekiti Central Zonal Executive over a week ago.
