Arimiyau Congratulates Oyebanji on 2026 Election Victory, Hails Performance in Office

The  Special Assistant to the Governor of Ekiti State on Faith Based Organisation (Muslim) Hon Owoeye Arimiyau Omotayo, has congratulated Governor Biodun Oyebanji on his resounding victory in Saturday's governorship election, describing the outcome as a clear endorsement of the governor's people-oriented leadership and outstanding performance in office.

In a congratulatory statement issued on Monday, Hon. Owoeye said the landslide victory recorded by Governor Oyebanji reflected the confidence reposed in him by the people of Ekiti State. 

He noted that the governor's achievements across critical sectors of the economy earned him widespread acceptance among the electorate.

According to him, significant improvements in education, healthcare delivery, road construction and rehabilitation, agriculture, power supply, and other developmental initiatives contributed immensely to the governor's overwhelming victory at the polls.

He added that Oyebanji's humility, accessibility, and commitment to inclusive governance has endeared him to the people.

Hon Owoeye also attributed the governor's success to the wealth of experience he acquired while serving under previous governors in the State which had prepared and positioned him as the first governor in Ekiti State to secure re-election in consecutive electoral cycles.

The governor's aide who prayed for divine guidance, sound health, and greater wisdom for Oyebanji as he begins another four-year term in office expressed confidence that the governor would consolidate on the achievements of his first tenure and continue to implement policies and programmes that would positively impact the lives of Ekiti people.

Owoeye equally appreciated massive support from Muslims across the State under the leadership of President General League of Imams Alfas in Yoruba Land Edo and Delta States, Sheikh Jamiu Kewulere Bello which added to the number of votes garnered by the APC in the June 20 Ekiti Governorship election.

Executive of National Association of Proprietors of Arabic and Islamic Schools ( NAPAIS) in Ekiti State has inaugurated the Central Zone of the association being one of the four zones billed to be inaugurated in the State. Another zonal executive of the National Association of Proprietors of Arabic and Islamic Schools (NAPAIS) in Ekiti State has been inaugurated by the State Executive. The newly inaugurated zonal executive was Ekiti North following the inauguration of Ekiti Central Zonal Executive over a week ago.
