2026 EMPOWERMENT: GBONYIN LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMAN, AJAYI SETS TONE FOR PROSPEROUS YEAR

In his quest to set the tone for the various dividends of democracy earmarked for the people of Gbonyin Local Council Development Area in Ekiti State, the LCDA chairman, Hon Damilare Ajayi will on Wednesday provide different working tools, farm input and security materials for the people.

The LCDA boss who said the event will hold at the Gbonyin LCDA Headquarters in Aisegba-Ekiti from 10am will be witnessed by invited guests , dignitaries and government functionaries including the commissioner for Ministry of Local Government, Hon Folorunsho Olabode and Commissioner for Rural Development, Hon Femi Awe among others.

Gbonyin LCDA boss, Hon Ajayi said beneficiaries of the dividends of democracy will include artisans, farmers , traders and security operatives.

He said the gesture is aimed at boosting the livelihood of Gbonyin people economically and also enhancing the capacity of security operatives in the Local government.

Hon Damilare Ajayi also said beneficiaries of the items to be distributed were not selected based on politics, religion nor ethnic adding that the gesture is to appreciate the unalloyed support from the people to the governor Biodun Oyebanji led administration in Ekiti State.

He noted that the state governor has performed remarkably well in terms of human capital and social amenities development which are evident in the ranking of the State among the economically stable and viable  States in the country.

He noted that security should not be left in the hands of government alone, hence the need for local government administrators to complement the efforts of the State government at enhancing safety of lives and property of the people.

Ekiti State Muslim Media Practitioners Conclude Courtesy Visits To Media Organizations, As Managers Assure of Synergy

On the heels of the controversies that trailed the halting of activities and sitting of the Sharia Arbitration Panel in Ekiti State, Executive members of the Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria (MMPN) in the State embarked on courtesy and sensitization visits to media organizations within the State. Sheikh Kewulere, Muslim Pilgrims Rate Oyebanji High On Supports Towards 2025 Pilgrimage

Representatives of the Muslims who performed this year's holy pilgrimage to Makkah and Medinah in Saudi Arabia have held a special thanksgiving service at the Ado Ekiti Central Mosque. The program held on Friday presided by the President League of Imams and Alfas,South West, Edo and Delta States who is also the Grand Imam of Ado Ekiti, Sheikh Jamiu Kewulere Bello took place prior to the Friday Jummat prayer.
