Ekiti FA Election Countdown: Chairmanship Aspirant, Bamidele Ojo Secures Players Union Endorsement, Vows To Run Innovative Football Administration


As the election into the Ekiti State Football Association draws near, one of the aspirants gunning for the seat of chairman, Mr Bamidele Ojo (Don La Chicken) has met with Execitive of the Ekiti State Players Union.

At the meeting held in Ado Ekiti, the Ijero Ekiti born sports promoter thanked the Players Union for embracing him with warmth saying he would not let down the love shown him.

Mr Ojo who presented his Nomination Form to the Players Union Execitive called on them to keep up their efforts at protecting the interest of active footballers.

He promised to run an open door and innovative administration that would positively affect the entire Football ecosystem including the Players Union. 

The chairman of Ekiti State Players Union, Mr Seun Omoya in company of the Secretary and other Executive members endorsed Mr Ojo's aspiration and formally indicated  preparedness to support him.

The Players Union chairman described the FA aspirant as a known figure whose antecedent and achievements in football could not be obliterated.  

Omoya said the door of the Players Union was open to all aspirants for them to reel our their plans and programs if eventually elected.

Mr Bamidele Ojo is expected to forge ahead in his campaign in the coming days having earlier reached out to Ijero Local Government Football Council.

The FA Chairmanship hopeful is a sports promoter with special interest in football and boxing.

He had channelled his resources into the promotion of budding football talents by exposing them to international scouting programs to further promote the players.

He's one of the aspirants gearing up for the May 27 Ekiti State Football Association election .
