ASSEMBLY SERVICE COMMISSION CHAIRMAN CHARGES STAFF TO SET CLEAR VISION FOR 2026
The Executive Chairman of the Ekiti State House of Assembly Service Commission, Hon Kayode Ajayi Fasakin, has charged staff in the legislative service, irrespective of cadre and grade level to set a clear vision for the year 2026.
The Commission Chairman reflects on the collective achievements of the personnel outfit in the legislature for the year 2025 and attributed the positive impact recorded to the staff contributions, dedication and commitment to the mandate of the House of Assembly Commission.
Hon Fasakin harped on the purpose of the meeting, stressing that work ethics would be fully discussed and expressed hope that the effect, if taken seriously by all will lead to the Commission being best among it's leagues.
He further advised the staff on the need to abide by the rules governing the legislative service, vis a vis discipline, loyalty, integrity, trust, transparency and accountability in all their dealings.
He concluded by appreciating the State Governor, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, the Speaker of the House, Rt Hon Stephen Adeoye Aribasoye and the entire leadership of the Assembly for being workers friendly through the provision of an enabling environment for the discharge of legislative business and enjoined the staff to reciprocate by doing their job diligently.
While speaking at the occasion, the Commissioner in Charge of Training and Manpower Development, Hon (Mrs) Fola Richie Adewusi emphasised the need for workers to take their job very seriously.
She called for attitudinal change and that as civil servants, they should not allow anything to affect their productivity in the workplace.
Earlier, in his remark, the Executive Secretary of the Commission, Mr Tolulope Afolabi highlighted the achievements of the Commission in the outgone year and called for more commitment to duties on the part of the staff.
The highlight of the meeting was the presentation of papers by some selected Directors on Modest dressing, Office routine and Ethics.
