Another ESPD Member, Tayo Fakiyesi Dolls Out Cash Gifts To Ekiti Born Gateway Games 2024 Medalists
Another Ekiti born retired foreign based Sports personality, Tayo Fakiyesi is set to appreciate Ekiti State athletes who won medals at the recently concluded National Sports Festival in Ogun State .
The former Nigeria's Number 1 gymnast who is a member of the Ekiti Sports People In Diaspora- ESPD will on Friday June 13 disburse the financial rewards at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado Ekiti between 11am and 12 noon
The presentation will be presided by the Technical Advisor on Sports Development, Dr Olusola Osetoba while Management of the Ekiti Sports Commission, Coaches, Sports organizers and athletes will all be in attendance.
Having won several National and international medals for Ekiti State during his active days in Sports, Fakiyesi has graciously approved the sum of 50k for each gold medalist, 30k for each silver medalist and 25k for each bronze medalist plus token cash rewards for the various coaches and Sports Organizers who attended the Gateway Games 2024.

The gesture of members of the Sports People In Diaspora -ESPD in synergy with the office of the Technical Advisor on Sports Development is to complement the unprecedented efforts of Governor Biodun Oyebanji at developing Sports and empowering the teeming youths.
Before now, two members of the Ekiti Sports People In Diaspora -ESPD namely Prince Christopher Aniyi, Founder of the first and only Privately owned Golf course in Ekiti State, Rosani Golf, Erinmope Ekiti as well as a former National Heavyweight boxing champion, Adewale Masebinu has sent the sum of 100k each which was given to each of the two gold medalists.
According to reports from a member of the Sports Development Trust Fund who is also the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Chairman in Ekiti State, Qozeem Oladapo who links up with the ESPD members, other goodies in form of appreciation are expected from few other members of the group who based in different countries of the Western and Asian World.
