Ekiti Obas Cup Season 2 Receives Boost As Oluyin of Iyin, 3 Other Royal Fathers Emerge Pillars Of Support


Kabiyesi, Oba Adeola Adeniyi Ajakaiye (Oluyin of Iyin Ekiti) has indicated readiness and willingness to join the quest to make the Ekiti Obas Cup bigger and better.

The sports loving royal father who welcomed the Head of the Organizing Committee, Qozeem Oladapo to his palace on Friday promised to attract sponsorship and partnership through prominent sons and daughters of Iyin Ekiti as well as his friends from within the country and overseas for the second edition of the Ekiti Obas Cup.

While receiving his official letter of Nomination as PILLAR OF SUPPORT (PoS) for Ekiti Obas Cup, oba Adeola Adeniyi Ajakaiye asked the organizers to reach out to one of the erudite and sports loving sons of Iyin Ekiti , Hon Israel Adesokan popularly known as Jaruu to champion the cause alongside young and vibrant Akeweje of Iyin Ekiti, chief Deji Adeosun.

The duo are expected to use their rich network and influence to drum support for Oluyin among loved ones and stakeholders of Iyin Ekiti extraction ahead of the Ekiti Obas Cup billed to kickoff on June 7.

Also nominated as PILLARS OF SUPPORT are three other royal fathers namely, Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adejugbe, Ogoga of Ikere Ekiti, Oba Adejimi Adu and Alaaye of Oke Ayedun Ekiti, Oba Olufemi Aribisala.

Former Coach, Ademola Agbana Again Teams Up With Ekiti United FC Technical Crew Ahead NNL Second Stanza

In it's quest to broaden the technical department of the team, Management of Ekiti United FC has engaged the service of a renowned Ekiti based Youth Coach, Ademola Agbana. This follows conclusion of days of talks between the coach and the Management concerning the mandate to ensure a better performance in the second stanza of the 2023/24 NNL which begins next week. Muslim Political Appointees, NACOMYO Host Special Prayers For Tranquility In Ekiti

Following the spate of recent security threats recorded in Ekiti State, some adherents of Islam in Ekiti State have held  special prayers to seek the face of Allah. The prayers presided by the commissioner for Regional Development and Intergovernmental Affairs, Dr Kareem Makanjuola took place shortly after the jumat service at the Ekiti Government House Mosque in Ado Ekiti was attended by all Muslim political appointees in the present administration as well as members of the NACOMYO in the State  The appointees took turn to recite surahs of the holy Quran with references to the various holy names of Allah.
